All About Monarchs

In our class we learned a lot about monarchs here are some facts about monarchs.

Out side the monarch sets its egg on a beautiful milkweed plant. When they hatch they’re a caterpillar. They eat and eat. They make their chrysalis, then 5 weeks later the chrysalis breaks open and a monarch comes out. That’s called metamorphosis. When they hatch they have bright orange wings.

Monarchs migrate. They fly to Mexico. Some monarchs do not make it, the grandchildren make it first. The born one makes its first new journey.
